BREAD ALERT: Canada's Finest Loaves Have Landed in Atlantic Canada |

The European-style, premium quality, hand-shaped, rustic breads that brought Toronto's ACE Bakery renown as one of the country's all-time best brands have at last landed on regional grocery store shelves. Now that ACE has teamed up with grocery retailer Loblaw to bring the breads of their artisan bakery to communities all across the region, bread-lovers can experience the inimitable ACE excellence right at home.
"ACE in Atlantic Canada is undoubtedly overdue," says Philip Shaw, ACE Bakery's CEO and President. "We've put our slow-rising, stone-baked, old-world breads and crisps into thousands of stores, restaurants, and hotels in North America. But somehow it took us until 2009 to introduce ACE Bakery breads in the Atlantic Provinces." The good news, Shaw says, is "Now, instead of asking your cousin in Mississauga to mail you a loaf of our Organic Ciabatta Lunga or Rosemary Focaccia, you can finally just drop by your local Atlantic Superstore or Dominion and pick up a loaf for lunch. We're pretty confident that our bread products are so good, you'll forgive us for taking so long to get here."
The breads selected for launch in Atlantic Canada exemplify ACE's premium products. Each loaf is prepared in the European tradition utilizing long fermentation periods, hand-shaping, stone baking, and only the best, all-natural ingredients and no preservatives to produce exceptional flavour and lightness encompassed by a perfectly crisp crust. The Atlantic Canada line-up features several organic selections and includes:
White Baguette The company donates a percentage of pre-tax profits to charitable organizations in the principal centres where ACE bakery products are sold. ACE's focus is on food and nutrition programs that assist low-income members of the community, financing culinary scholarships, and supporting organic farming initiatives.
